Donations requests and frequency

Question

Dear Members and Friends of AO-R

You are invited to make a donation no amount is too small.

I don't anticipate closing the site and it was my intention from the beginning to keep it running whatever happens. I make it coming up to 8 years.

I plan to make requests on 1st June and 1st December. Feel free to use another date.

Many thanks personally to those past, present and future who donate. I would also like to thank those that have had a bit of patience and stuck with it. As original AO, it's all about the people.

Providence has coincidentally gifted me a cash return this month at the same time of your request.

I have sent a small pittance on to you before I am tempted to spend it on something totally unnecessary!

I am old fashioned about how this works abroad and am usually skeptical as to if my personal USD makes it to the right person.

If you could at some time send me notice that you received it. It would be much appreciated!

Sandy, I would also be extremely surprised if you let me down. You have gone up and above to help as it is. Not that I don't appreciate others on here as well. Just sayin'. And although I probably shouldn't I sometimes have to budget assuming I will get a donation. But then that's my problem no-one else's.

I check in once or twice daily. I will be looking for your June 1st post.

I always tell my employees don't count on overtime money since overtime is based on the company's needs. Sometimes there's long stretches but it's not permanent. I feel it's best for them to budget according to regular pay. I get that it's nice to count on though.
