Popular belief is that the whales and dolphins are being struck by ships and entangled in fishing nets….

However the frequency of these beaching has increased exponentially!

Haven’t we always had fishing and shipping activity all along the East Coast? Hasn’t that been a major source of employment in those states for hundreds of years?

What’s your take?

Personally I’m heart broken!

That's what the news says.  Of course, a contributing factor has been the fact that the fish on which the whales and dolphins feed have been moving closer to shore because of ocean temperature trends, and that brings the whales and dolphins closer to shore as well, and THAT puts them into the shipping lanes more frequently.

Of course, that would suggest that Global Warming is NOT a hoax.  So... depends on where you stand as to whether you buy this as a contributing factor.
